Easter this and that

Praised be Jesus and Mary!
Holy and blessed Easter to all of you my dear dear people of God!

It has been intense and beautiful in Medjugorje and in our home. I am ill , again, nothing new !!! Easter under 2000mg of antibiotics per day and 800mg ibuproofen 3 times a day  can give you something special to remember about. However, we have managed to finish all preparation at home, and made it for confesions, prayers, Divine Marcy Novena, Easter mass and big family lunch  /I cooked/.  All in all .. personal miracle. Thank you Jesus and Mary, all the saints and angles for all your help. Amen.

There are no words to explain how it is to be in Medjugorje during this Holy week. I guess thousands of pligrims  gathered in Medjugorje can give you some hint. You may see many photos on the officila web site www.medjugorje.hr  We did not took pictures, there were many more important things to contemplate about. Good Friday was as always filled with tearse. Very emotional  at the church, folowed by Tv program of the Passion of Christ and grand finale with the Way of the Cross from Rome.I often wonder how do I survive trough this and why am I like that ,...huh!

There has been a  lot of coverage of the festivities in various towns and villages on our Federal TV. (God just loves me you know, so even ill I got a lot of Easter) As it happens this year we have Easter at the same time as our  Orthodox brothers so we had more Easter on television then ever. .. it'a good thing.  Maybe I just missed a little not being able to see the eastern  Easter liturgy which I find so holy and beautiful (people coming in and out of church at all time not so holy ,though). We heard our bishops and cardinals with their Eastern messages as well as some of most prominent priests and other religious people sharing on their Easter observation. Of course the question of Medjugorje was unavoidable :-) In one of the central news journal our fr. Franjo Topić said that he can not share information about the meeting. He did however said that the first meeting is held and that he is one of the five Croatian, members of the commission. In his own words : "I am the member of the commission. The names of the commission members /20/ are not secret but the content  of the meeting and commission work is a secret. I can not speak about Medjugorje. I can share that we did have the first meeting and it was more of informal, introduction meeting, for members to get to know each other as well as to establish the concept of work, topics, etc...  " -- He also added that "it is not said that this 20 people will be the only members, it is possible we will invite more persons to join, lay people, doctors, psychologist .... etc..."

It is interesting that father Franjo was member of the first commission or better said the Yugoslavian Bishops' conference commission held late 80' and beginning 90's. Here is what he said about the work of that commission. 

-"Old commission (YBC ) had 11 members and was headed by bishop Komarica. There was also a subcommittee  formed by doctors, psychiatrist, psychologist. the commission worked for about 4 years when it had to be left unfinished because of the war.

-"That commission worked well, in my own personal opinion "- said father Franjo - "we had lot of meetings.The only official statement is the one said in Zadar 1991."

He shared about the work of commissions in view of the numerous trips by commission members to Medjugorje,  various meetings held  with visionaries, the medical investigations and so forth ....

-"The war came and commission's work simply stopped "- said father Franjo- " we were never  disbanded we just stopped working."
