Our Lady's Desert Roses is delighted to host Ivanka Ivankovic-Elez from Medjugorje. She was born on July 21, 1966 in Bijakovici. It is reported that Ivanka was the first to see Our Lady on June 24, 1981 and was given a prayer mission from Our Lady to pray for families.
She lives in the parish of Medjugorje with her husband Rajko and has three children. Ivanka has one brother and one sister.
Her mother, Jagoda, died in May 1981. When the apparitions first began, Ivanka asked the Blessed Mother about her mother. Our Lady consoled her with the assurance that her mother was indeed with her in Heaven.
Ivanka experienced daily apparitions from June 24, 1981 until May 7, 1985. On that day, Our Lady confided to her the last of her ten secrets and told her that for her entire life she will have an apparition every year on June 25, the anniversary of the apparitions.
Through the messages, the Blessed Mother continues to invite us to conversion and to emphasize the importance of the Eucharist, Scripture, Fasting, Reconciliation and Prayer.
